Event Overview

This year’s program aims to bring together over 500 members of the Nigeria Artificial Intelligence community for a 2-day hybrid event.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming industries, economies, and societies worldwide. In Nigeria, AI presents a unique opportunity to drive sustainable development, enhance innovation, and address critical challenges across various sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, finance, education, and governance.

The theme for this year’s discourse, “Empowering Nigeria’s AI Ecosystem for Sustainable Development”, aims to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic discussions among AI researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and technology enthusiasts. The event will explore how Nigeria can build a thriving AI ecosystem by leveraging local talent, strengthening research and development, and ensuring ethical and responsible AI deployment.

What to Expect

Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and poster presentations, participants will gain insights into:

• AI Policy & Infrastructure: Addressing the regulatory framework, digital infrastructure, and policy direction needed to support AI growth in Nigeria.
• Industry Applications of AI: Showcasing real-world use cases of AI in sectors like healthcare, agriculture, finance, and education.
• Capacity Building & Talent Development: Strategies for fostering AI skills development, research, and collaboration between academia and industry.
• Ethical AI & Responsible Innovation: Ensuring fairness, transparency, and sustainability in AI development and deployment.
• Startups & AI Innovation: Supporting local AI startups and entrepreneurs to drive economic growth and job creation.

Call for Speakers

We invite both academia and industry professionals to submit proposals for:

• Presentation: A technical or non-technical talk aligned with our theme.
• Workshop: A hands-on session providing practical insights into AI applications.
• Poster Presentation: A research poster showcasing innovative AI research and findings.
